Construction progress of Jatigede hydro power project reaches 19%

Construction progress of the Jatigede hydro power plant project with capacity of 2x55 MW in Sumedang Regency, West Java Province, has now reached 19 percent.

A source at the project told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the activities are still dominated by civil works, such as excavation for semi underground powerhouse and drilling waterways or tunneling.

In January, Anang Yahmadi, General Manager of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN?s Development Unit for western part of Java told Petromindo.com that construction progress of the project reached 17.6 percent. The project, with estimated investment of US$ 224.4 million, is expected to be on stream in May 2019. Jatigede hydro power plant project is located at Cijeunjing Village, Jatigede, Sumedang Regency.
