Contractors plan drilling campaign in Makassar Strait blocks

PSC contractors grouped in Makassar Straits Explorers Consortium plan to start exploration drilling in 6 PSCs in Makassar Strait deep water blocks late 2008 or early 2009.
The rig tender announcement posted Monday showed that the consortium planned to drill 12 wells within the six blocks.
Consortium members are: Anadarko Petroleum (operator of Popodi Block), ConocoPhillips (Kuma block), Eni (Bukat block), Marathon Oil (Pasang Kayu block), Statoil (Karama block) and Talisman Energy (Sageri block). (alex)
