Cooper completes seismic acquisition at Sumatra block

ASX-listed junior oil and gas firm Cooper Energy Limited reported on Monday that during the quarter ending December 2013 it has completed acquisition of a-265km 2D seismic survey in the Sumbagsel PSC.
The company said the objective of the survey is to delineate exploration targets for drilling during 2014.
Reprocessing of over 3,000-km of 2D seismic data from the Merangin III PSC continued during the quarter, with the objective of maturing targets for seismic acquisition in calendar 2014, the company added.
Cooper has 100 percent interest in both block, which are located onshore South Sumatra. The company reported earlier that it planned to downsize interest at both blocks.
Elsewhere, the company also reported that its share of production from the Sukananti KSO was 138 bopd during the December 2013 quarter, below that of the previous quarter?s 76 bopd, due to Tangai-1 being off-line for 20 days during the quarter because of mechanical issues.
Sukananti, which is also located onshore South Sumatra is operated by Cooper under license from state oil, gas company Pertamina.
