Cooper Energy further delays S. Madura exploration drilling

Australian oil firm Cooper Energy said Wednesday that it would further delay the commencement drilling for the Kurnia-1 well in South Madura block in East Java from June to September this year at the earliest.
The company said that the deferral was due to delays in the delivery times of casing strings due to increased global activities in the oil and gas industry.
Cooper has 45 percent interest in South Madura PSC through operator South Madura Exploration Company Pte Ltd that holds 90 percent interest in the block. (alex)
