Cooper Energy updates Indonesian drilling activities

The following is an excerpt taken from Australian firm Cooper Energy's statement released on Friday.

 

Kurnia-1 (South Madura PSC, , COE 30% Capped Free Carry)

Since the last release (COE111007b), the 12¼” pilot hole has been widened to 16” down to 2,450 metres and the hole has been conditioned in preparation for running the 13 ⅜” casing. The drilling equipment is currently being pulled out of hole.

 

The next planned release will be made once the casing has been run and cemented and the rig is drilling ahead in 12 ¼” hole.

 

Gurame-6X (Seruway PSC, , COE 22.5% Funding Working Interest)

The Seruway Joint Venture is holding a technical committee meeting and operating committee meeting in Jakarta, , on the 22nd and 23rd October. During these meetings the following items are expected to be approved in regards to the Gurame-6X appraisal well:

• Gurame well location

• Rig selection

• Rig timing (related to rig selection)

 

If agreement on these items can be reached in the meetings then Cooper Energy will make an announcement regarding timing and rig selection as soon as firm information is known. (end of excerpt)
