Cooper Energy updates Indonesian exploration progress

The following is an excerpt from Cooper Energy’s (COE) quarterly report released on Monday
South Madura PSC, East Java(COE 30%)
The Kurnia-1 well spud on the 15 July 2007.
Drilling has been slow during the first week whilst the rig, site infrastructure and services are brought up to full speed.
This Ngrayong Formation objective will be the first objective to be reached and is expected just after the end of July 2007, depending on operational events.
The South Madura 2D onshore seismic survey commenced in mid July 2007. The survey will be used to mature further prospects for drilling
Seruway, North Sumatra (COE 22.5%)
The Gurame 3D seismic survey processing was completed and the seismic interpretation commenced.
The 3D seismic survey will be used to locate the Gurame-6X well and better define the discovered recoverable hydrocarbon estimates for the Gurame field.
The Joint Venture is considering further 2D seismic over some of the other discovered gas fields in the block.
Gurame-1 appraisal well is expected to be spudded in December 2007. (end of excerpt)
