Cooper receives considerable interest for Sumbagsel PSC farm-out plan

Australian oil and gas company Cooper Energy said it will conduct a 600 km 2D seismic survey in its Sumbagsel PSC, southern Sumatra, next December.
The company said in a report that after the survey, a decision on well drillings in the block will be taken in early 2013. It also said it has received ?considerable interest? in its farm-out plan but the report did not elaborate.
The Sumbagsel Block has an area of 1,753 km2 and lies in the highly prolific South Sumatra Petroleum Basin. A large number of discovered oil and gas fields are on trend with the block.
The block lies 20 km directly north of the Sukananti Production Area (Cooper Energy 55 percent, Operator) where production currently reaches 150 barrels of oil per day.
