Some 20 cooperatives in the East Kalimantan province need partners with financial and technical capability to develop their coal mining business, according to a local senior official.

Head of the East Kalimantan Cooperatives Ministry Harsono said that the cooperatives had obtained the license to develop small-size coal mining site but they lacked the necessary capital, marketing and technical skills.

Harsono said that several cooperatives had decided to stop their exploitation activity due to the lack of the above resources. (*)
