Copper export quota to be transferred to 2015, 2016

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will transfer part of the 2014 export quota of copper concentrates to 2015 and 2016, Kontan reported on Saturday.
The government sets annual export quota of copper concentrates at 1.6 million tons. But the quota of giants PT Freeport Indonesia and PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara for 2014 are 756,300 tons, and 200,000 tons, respectively.
Director General of Mineral and Coal R. Sukhyar said that the remaining 600,000 tons of the 2014 quota will be added into the 2015 and 2016 quota. (*)
