Core Mineral to start first export to South Asia

Bengkulu-based coal mining company PT Reksaindo Guriang Tandang (RGT) will start exporting its products with India and Pakistan as the first markets, a company offical said.
“Tomorrow (Friday), RGT will export 29,000 tons to India and next week about 35,000 tons to Karachi in Pakistan. Total exports this month will reach 64,000 ton,” company mine and marketing general manager Udaya Kumar told Petromindo.Com on Thursday.
The company will export to a Pakistani buyer about 35,000 ton per month for one-year contract with a calorific value of 5,800 Kcal/kg and to spot market in India, he said.
Kumar said that the company targeted to export around 80,000 ton per month starting next month.
For domestic market, the company is now in talks with Suralaya 3,400 MW power plant to supply coal about 30,000 tons per month. The result of the negotiaton is expected to become clear in one week, Kumar added.
RGT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian-owned PT Core Mineral Indonesia, has a concession area measuring 3,000 hectares in North Bengkulu and operates under a mining licence (KP). The company uses Baai port in Bengkulu as loading base. (denny)
