Correction: Coal & Oil ups Indonesian coal import

Dubai-based coal trader Coal & Oil company LLC said it would increase next year?s coal import from Indonesia by 20 percent to 6 million tonnes.
S.A Basith, Manager of PT Coal & Oil Indonesia said this year the company would import 5 million tonnes of coal from Indonesia. Basith said the company bought 2 MT of coal from PT Kideco Jaya Agung, 2 MT from Gunung Bayan and another 1 MT from state coal mining firm PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA).
The company is also seeking to buy new mines in Indonesia to secure coal supply for its new power plant, which is expected to start operation in 2012, Founder Ahmed Buhari said as quoted by wire on Thursday. (denny)
