Indonesia coal producer company Ithaca Resources through its subsidiary PT Nusantara Berau Coal is expecting to produce 1.5 million ton of coal of 5,500 kcal/kg cv in 2013 from its mine in Berau, East Kalimantan.

Liberty Simanjuntak, Corporate Secretary of PT Ithaca Resources told Petromindo.com that this is a realistic target since the company is still waiting for the Pinjam Pakai permit to expand its production.

Liberty revealed that currently they are still producing coal from 800 of 2000 hectares of the concession owned by the company. "For the rest of the concession we are still waiting for the Pinjam Pakai permit," he said. Last year, according to Liberty, the company's output reached 1.3 million tons, which was mostly exported to China and India.
