(The previous article titled ?Pelikan and Naga projects onstream in Q3 and Q4? posted on April 15, 2014 contains some misleading information. The source of the story has corrected the information. The following is the correct version of the story)
The Pelikan gas project in Anoa field within Natuna Sea Block A is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, later than the initial schedule, while the Naga gas project in the same field will be completed in either the third quarter or fourth quarter of this year, according to an official of upstream authority SKK Migas.
?The Pelikan project is now scheduled to start production in the third quarter of this year, a slight delay from the earlier schedule of the first quarter of 2014. Meanwhile, the Naga project is projected to be onstream in either the third quarter of 2014, which is in line with the initial schedule, or in the fourth quarter of 2014 at the latest,? Division Head for Inspection of Realization of Field Development Plan at SKK Migas Nugrahani told Petromindo.com recently.
She said the postponement has occurred due to the non-availability of drilling rig.
?The EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) works of the two projects have been 89.63 percent completed per February, 2014,? she added.
Pelikan and Naga projects are part of Natuna Sea Block A which is owned by Premier Oil (operator), Kufpec, Petronas, and Pertamina-PTTEP.
