Correction: Transocean?s fleet update

Our previous report on Wednesday saying that offshore drilling rig provider Transocean Ltd has obtained a new one-year contract for the Discoverer Seven Seas rig from Inpex was incorrect.
In a letter to the editor on Thursday, Transocean said that as stated in its press release, Inpex exercised a one-well option offshore Indonesia for the Discoverer Seven Seas rig at a dayrate of US$500,000. It said that the agreement for the one-well option is not a new, one year contract.
According to Transocean?s fleet status update report, the contract is estimated to expire in June of this year.
