Gas production from ConocoPhillips-operated Corridor block PSC onshore South Sumatra is hitting 1 billion cubic feet per day (BCFD) with the figure seen to be maintained in 2011.

ConocoPhillips Indonesia Gas Commercial Manager Prayudi Hartono told Petromindo.Com on Tuesday that gas production from Corridor block increased by 10 percent compared to last year.

?Next year production would be maintained at 1,020 MMCFD,? he said, adding that production increase was achieved through fields optimization.

Separately, Sulistya Hastuti, Spokesperson at upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said that production increase was due to 15 percent production increase at Gelam and Sumpal fields.

ConocoPhillips sells gas from Corridor block through pipeline network to Chevron Pacific Indonesia in Central Sumatra, to state gas distribution firm PGN and to Singapore.(denny/bernard)
