Councilor hampers exploration activities in Blora

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said on Wednesday its exploration activity has been hampered by a member of the local council in Blora regency, Central Java.

?When we moved our rig from NKT-2 site to Bambu Merah site, the council member kept disturbing us, demanding us to build road. His name is Bakoh. The man has continued hampering our activities since we brought the rig into the area,? PEP?s Exploration Vice President Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com, adding PEP is seeking to solve the problem.

He further said PEP is preparing Drill Steam Test (DST) at Randu Lembayung well in West Java.

?We started DST two or three days ago. He have received approval for six DSTs. Meanwhile, drilling is progress in Tambun Deep (Asset III in West Java) and Azalea (Asset II in South Sumatra),? he said.

Besides, he said, PEP plannned to spud a number of wells in early or the middle of May. The wells are Rancajawa-4 and Bambu Merah wells in West Java, Mujaer well in Bunyu and Gandaria well in South Sumatra.
