Court begins trial of Rudi Rubiandini

The Corruption High Court in Jakarta begins today the trial of Rudi Rubiandini, suspended chairman of the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, charged for receiving bribe money from an oil trader.

Clad in brown batik shirt, Rudi entered the first floor of the court, disregarding questions from the swarm of journalists following the case.

Rudi has been alleged of receiving bribe money worth S$200,000 and US$900,000 from Singapore-based oil trading firm Kernel Oil to allow the company to win crude and condensate supply tender arranged by SKK Migas.

The trial of Rudi?s golf trainer, Deviardi, in the same case also starts today. (*)
