The company said Environmental Impact Report (EIR), which included feasibility studies, environmental management and monitoring, had been presented to the regency?s office of Mining, Forestry and Environment. A total area of 190 hectares is included under the application and covers the area of current drilling.
The company said that if the EIR satisfied all requirements, license could be granted in six weeks.
The project is a zone of magnetite, which extends 400 meters east west, running semi parallel to the Trans Sumatran Fault Zone. The current drilling program was designed to delineate and potentially extend the zone of magnetite.
The company said the granting of the license would bring it closer to potentially mining the Rawang project. (alex)
