CPC seeks to extend Bontang LNG contract

Taiwan?s Chinese Petroleum Company (CPC) had been making enquiries over the possibility to extend LNG supply contract from Bontang LNG plant, a BPMIGAS official said on Wednesday.

?CPC had been asking about the possibility (to extend contract), but thus far no talks had been held,? said BPMIGAS deputy chairman in charge of marketing Eddie Poerwanto.

According to Petromindo data, Bontang has two LNG supply contracts with CPC; 1.58 MTPA supply, which will expire in 2009 and 1.84MTPA which will expire in 2017. (alex/godang)
