PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has finalized evaluation of tender participants of North Duri Development (NDD) Area-13 EPC contract, a senior official of upstream authority BPMIGAS said.

He noted that the consortium had presented their price proposal, but CPI had not yet reported it to BPMIGAS. ?CPI is still evaluating the final evaluation price (HEA) of each participants,? he added.

According to him, it will need about two more weeks before the winner of the contract will be announced.

Previously, it was reported that CPI expected the government to approve and award the bidding winner for the construction contract of the NDD Area 13 expansion project in mid 2012.

The NDD Area 13 project is located within the Rokan PSC, the contract of which will expire in 2021.

BPMIGAS and CPI announced the EPC Contract tender for the NDD Area 13 in mid of last year. Chevron expected the construction of the NDD expansion project to commence next year.

Total Duri crude production is now around 199,000 barrels per day, but will increase significantly in future when development of North Duri Area 13 is completed.
