The Coastal Plains Pekanbaru (CPP) block in Riau is projected to produce 12,900 bpd of oil this year, down from last year, according to block operator PT BOP BSP, a joint venture between PT Bumi Siak Pusako, a company owned by the Riau administration, and state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero)

Last year, the block produced 14,025 bopd, lower than the target of 13,170 bpd, Novi Sugianto, BOB BSP Senior Operation Manager, said.

He said the firm has no plans for drilling this and next years due to the low oil prices.

The CPP block spans over four Regencies of Riau province, that is, Siak, Bengkalis, Pelalawan and Kampar
