Flooding due to heavy downpours will likely affect activities in Zamrud oil field in Riau?s Coastal Plain Pekanbaru (CPP) oil block, a senior official of upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS told Petromindo.Com Wednesday.
?Floods are receding, but some repair work will be needed for Zamrud wells,? BPMIGAS deputy chairman R.S. Trijana Kartoatmodjo said.
Floods had inundated several parts of Sungai Perawang district where Zamrud oil field is located. The field is part of CPP block.
CPP block currently produces around 40,000 barrels per day of oil. It is jointly operated and managed by state oil and gas firm Pertamina and Riau Province?s PT Bumi Siak Pusako. (godang)
