CPP Gundih finally runs at maximum production capacity

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has finally managed to bring the central processing plant (CPP) of the Gundih gas block in Blora, Central Java, to its maximum production rate of 75 mmscfd since January of this year, kontan.co.id reported Sunday. The plant previously run at a production rate of 38 mmscfd.

Pertamina President Director Dwi Soetjipto said that it took a long time for Pertamina EP (PEP) to finally develop technology to separate sulfur content. He said that the company plans to make a patent for the technology, and apply it in Matindok and Donggi-Senoro projects.

PEP started supplying gas from Gundih to PLTGU Tambak Lorok power plant owned by public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) in the province?s capital of Semarang in the middle of 2014. Part of the output is also distributed to gas city network operated by IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk in Blora.(*)
