Oil production from Coastal Plain Pekanbaru (CPP) block in Riau which is jointly operated by state oil and gas firm Pertamina and Riau?s PT Bumi Siak Pusako has returned to around 34,000 barrels per day (bpd) after falling to 30,000 bpd in May, Bumi Siak Pusako president director Jusmadi Yusuf told Petromindo.Com Monday.
CPP block turned out 34,763 bpd of oil on Monday, Jusmadi said.
Production from the block had been stable at around 34,000 bpd before May 11 when activities in the area were disrupted due to a one-day power blackout, causing production to fall to 30,000 bpd.
Efforts are being made to increase production to 40,000 bpd.
The block, formerly operated by PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia, produced 50,000 bpd of oil last August. (godang)
