The value of the country's crude oil and gas exports rose respectively by 5.88 percent and 4.24 percent in February to US$567.6 million and US$646.9 million from those recorded in January, Koran Tempo reported on Saturday.

The head of the central statistics board, Choiril Maksum, said in Jakarta on Friday that the increase in the earnings from crude oil and gas exports was attributed by the increase in the country's Indonesian crude oil to US$44.74 per barrel in February from US$42.39 per barrel in January.

Choiril said that the monthly export value of the fuel products increased by 85.06 percent to US$123.8 million in February thanks to the increase in the price. Cumulative oil and gas exports during February reached a total of US$1.34 billion, an increase of 9.37 percent from US$1.22 billion in January.

The statistics agency meanwhile reported that the country's non-oil and gas exports rose by 2.65 percent to US$5.04 billion in February from US$4.91 billion in January. (*)
