Custom chief replaced over alleged coal smuggling

The government has dismissed Suroso (ed: one name) as the head of the custom and excise office in Kota Baru regency, South Kalimantan, by Ahmad Saukan.

Banjarmasin Post said that there's been speculation that Suroso was replaced amid suspicion that he's been involved in the smuggling out of thousand tons of illegal coal from the area.

The Banjarmasin custom and excise office denied this rumors.(*)
