Dahlan Iskan named as PLN?s new president director

Media mogul Dahlan Iskan has been named as the new president director of state owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), replacing the current president director Fahmi Mochtar, Kontan reported on Wednesday.

Dahlan, currently the President Director of Jawa Pos media group, will be officially installed by State Minister for State Enterprises Mustafa Abubakar at PLN?s headquarter in Jakarta later today (Thursday).

Mustafa said in Jakarta on Tuesday that along with Dahlan, he would also install nine other members of the company?s board of directors. He refused to name the new directors but sources said that only two of the existing directors would retain their positions.

Java and Bali Director Murtaqi Syamsuddin and Financial Director Setio Anggoro Dewo are said to retain their current positions, while the other seven new directors would come from within the company. (*)
