IDX-listed coal mining services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk said that it aims to produce 3.5 million tons of coal from the Satui and Mulia mines in South Kalimantan, owned by PT Arutmin Indonesia.

?In Satui, (output) will be about 2.5-3 million tons. And in Mulia, probably about 750,000 tons for 2016,? said Prsident Director of Darma Henwa, Wachjudi Martono, to Petromindo.com Friday.

Darma Henwa obtained in February of this year the contract for the Satui and Mulia mines. The estimated US$1.8 billion mining services contract was initially given to PT Cakrawala Langit Sejahtera (CLS), replacing previous contractor PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia. But because CLS is a new company with no experience, it handed over the project to Darma Henwa.

Darma Henwa Finance Director Thekepat Gopal Sridhar said that the contract is for a five-year period, with option for extension.
