Darma Henwa discussing termination of contract with Berau Coal

IDX-listed mining service contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk said on Thursday it is now in talks with IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Berau Coal to terminate its mining service contract to develop the latter?s Binangun Timur coal mine in East Kalimantan.
The firm said the Binangun Timur coal mine has become ?less feasible? for continued development.
?Thereby, the company is now in the process of discussing termination of its contract with PT Berau Coal on overburden stripping, coal hauling and heavy equipment service,? the firm said.
The contract was signed on March 24, 2011 and is effective until June 30, 2016.
