IDX-listed coal mining services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk through coal unit PT Pendopo Energi Batubara is participating in tender for the development of two coal-fired power plant projects in South Sumatra called PLTU Sumsel 9 (2x600 MW) and PLTU Sumsel 10 (1x600 MW).
?We?re participating in ongoing tender. There is no progress yet (on the tender results), still waiting from PLN,? said Corporate Secretary & Investor Relations Head of Darma Henwa, Mukson Arif Rosyidi to Petromindo.com on Wednesday, referring to state-owned electricity firm.
According to the PLN 2017-2026 electricity procurement business plan (or RUPTL), the two power plant projects are targeted to be completed in 2019.
Darma Henwa has recently acquired a 10 percent stake in Pendopo Coal Limited, which owns Pendopo Energi, from PT DH Energy.
Mukson said the company acquired Pendopo, which has been supplying coal for power plants, because of its promising potential in the power sector business.
