IDX-listed mining services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk produced 5.2 million tons of coal during the first semester of this year, down from 6.1 million tons in the same period of last year.
?This is because one of the concessions we operated, Serongga, while still producing last year, has stopped production (this year),? a source told Petromindo.com.
The source added the company currently operates four coal mining concessions including Asam-Asam in South Kalimantan, and Bengalon, East Binungan, and Malinau concessions in East Kalimantan. The concessions are owned by a number of coal mining companies including PT Arutmin Indonesia, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT Berau Coal and Baramulti Group.
Meanwhile, realized overburden removal during the first semester of this year was 34.2 million bank cubic meters (BCM), down from 44.3 million BCM in the same period of last year.
