IDX-listed coal mining services company PT Darma Henwa Tbk said that coal production in the first half (H1) of this year totaled 6.44 million tons, or only 29 percent of the full-year target of 21.89 million tons.
Meanwhile, overburden removal volume reached 41.54 million bcm, or 28 percent of the full-year target of 145.67 million bcm.
?In the first semester, our operations were hampered by unfavorable weather condition,? Darma Henwa President Director Wachyudi Martiono said to Petromindo.com. ?But we?ll catch up in the second semester. We?ll also make efforts for our mining equipment to operate better,? he added.
Wachyudi said that most of the coal output were contributed by the Bengalon coal Project in East Kalimantan owned by coal firm PT Kaltim Prima Coal, and the remainders came from two other projects namely Asam-Asam Coal Project (owned by PT Arutmin Indonesia) and Satui Coal Project in South Kalimantan (owned by PT Cakrawa Langit Sejahtera.
