Darmawan Prasodjo has resigned from his post as Deputy at the office of President Joko Widodo?s Chief of Staff and is expected to become the new chairman of the upstream oil and gas regulator SKK Migas, replacing Amin Sunaryadi, according to a source.

?There?s information that Darmawan has officially resigned (from the Presidential Staff office). Teten said that Dharmawan will move to SKK Migas,? the source told petromindo.com on Tuesday, referring to Teten Masduki, Presidential Chief of Staff.

Both Darmawan and Teten could not be immediately reached for confirmation.

Darmawan, a rising-star politician at President Joko Widodo?s Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) is a close friend of newly-appointed Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arcandra Tahar, both of whom graduated from the same Texas A&M University in the US.
