ASX-listed CBM developer Dart Energy said that this year it will focus on completing all pilot production test programs at the Tanjung Enim and Muralim coal bed methane (CBM) wells in South Sumatra.

Dart Energy Manager, Unggul Setyamoko told Petromindo.com Friday that production test at the Tanjung Enim CMB working area had started in the third week of February. ?The gas and water production rate was small.

Gas and water production rate was initially low, but continued to increase, and is expected to continue to rise. The production rate then expanded and is expected to continue to rise,? he said.

?In the next pilot well, we?ll conduct stimulation with cracking technique to increase the gas rate,? Unggul said.

The results so far have made Dart Energy to be confident of completing the pilot production programs this year to obtain sufficient information to begin the marketing of the gas and prepare the first plan of development (POD) in 2014.

?Hopefully, Dart Energy can start production at the South Sumatra CBM working areas in 2015,? Unggul said.
