ASX-listed coal bed methane (CBM) producer Dart Energy plans to drill nine wells at two CBM blocks in South Sumatra next year.

Company Manager for External Relations Unggul Setyamoko told Petromindo.com Friday that six wells will be drilled at the Tanjung Enim block, and three at the Muaralim block.

The company hopes to complete the drilling program next year, to be followed with proposing the plan of development (POD) by the end of the year, he added.

Dart is now focusing on the development of the two CBM blocks in South Sumatra, as the company reportedly is in the process of farming out its participating interests in Sangatta-1 CBM and Bontang Bengalon CBM blocks in East Kalimantan.

Unggul said that a number of companies are currently conducting due diligence process on the Bontang Bengalon PSC.
