Dart Energy to drill seven CBM wells next year

Australian listed energy company Dart Energy said it is currently drilling second core well in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatera, and will further drill seven more coal bed methane (CBM) wells next year at its concession areas.

The company also said four pilot wells that have been drilled at its Sanggatta West project has shown ?good early production results.?

The company plans for additional pilot drilling in Tanjung Enim for the remaining of this year.

?Basis of design and early development planning work has begun for pilot projects at Sangatta West and Tanjung Enim,? the company said.

The company said it will evaluate the CBM reserves at the Sangatta West project in the fourth quarter this year.

Dart Energy holds 45 percent interest in Tanjung Enim PSC, and the balance is held by PT Bukit Asam Tbk (27.5 percent) and PT Pertamina Hulu Energy (PHE) Metana Sumatera Tanjung Enim (27.5 percent).

In Sangatta West PSC, Dart Energy holds 24 percent interest. The company partners with PT Energy Pasir Hitam Indonesia with 24 percent and PHE Metana Kalimantan A with 52 percent in developing the Sangatta West PSC. (romel/roffie)
