Dart to commence Tanjung Enim?s pilot production in Q3

Australia-listed energy firm Dart Energy announced that the installation of facilities and commencement of pilot production at its Tanjung Enim PSC, South Sumatra, would take place in the third quarter of this year.
The company said in a presentation that the installation of power generator at the coal-bed methane (CBM) project would follow suit in the next quarter, with the first pilot-to-power revenue scheduled for first quarter of 2013.
Dart Energy holds 45 percent interest in the block and also functions as the operator. PT Bukit Asam and Pertamina hold interest of 27.5 percent respectively. The Tanjung Enim PSC covers 308 km2 in the South Sumatra basin.
On February 14, 2012, the upstream authority BPMIGAS approved amendments to the Tanjung Enim PSC to allow for sale of gas prior to the Plan of Development (?POD?) approval. This is an important regulatory milestone to facilitate pilot gas sales before full commercial development and underscores the government?s commitment for early development of the country?s CBM resources.
