Darwin, Priyono resolve difference on deputies appointment

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Darwin Z. Saleh and BPMIGAS Chairman R. Priyono finally resolved difference in the appointment of two deputies for BPMIGAS by appointing alternative figure for Operations Deputy position.

Sources at the ministry and BPMIGAS said that Rudi Rubiandini, currently BPMIGAS? Head of Secretariat, has been appointed to fill the position of operations deputy replacing Wibowo S. Wirjawan, who had been appointed by Darwin but rejected by Priyono.

Wirjawan?s position as Deputy of Finance and Economy will be filled by Achmad Syakhroza, an academician with close tie to Darwin .

Sources said the two officials will be installed later today.

?Maman (Wirjawan?s nickname) had made sacrifice to quit the race for the good of BPMIGAS,? sources said. Maman is a brother of Investment Coordinating Body Chief Gita Wirjawan. (godang)
