The delay in the shipment of high-speed diesel (HSD) from Russian company WVC Petroleum Ltd has upset state oil and gas company Pertamina, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

Pertamina's commercial director and marketing, Arie H. Soemarno said in Jakarta on Monday that the shipment of the diesel oil from the Russian company had been delayed for unknown reason.

"According to the agreement, the monthly shipment should be begun in December. But up to know, we have not yet received any fuel cargo from the Russian company," he said.

Pertamina agreed last year to buy 600,000 barrels of diesel oil a month from WVC beginning December, 2004 until November, 2005. According the agreement, Pertamina has the right to cancel the contract if WVC fails to meet the shipment schedules within the first tree months. (*)
