Delineation drilling planned for Seruway PSC

ASX-listed oil and gas firm Cooper Energy Limited said on Monday that Seruawy PSC partnership would commence delineation-drilling program at the North Sumatra block by year-end.

The company said that the Gurame-6 well, would be drilled to delineate around 1TCF gas condensate field called Gurame, which was discovered in 1960ies. A 146-km seismic has been acquired and is presently being processed.

The company has 22.5 percent working interest in the block that is operated by Transworld Exploration Limited.

Calgary-based firm GFI Oil & Gas Corporation said in March 2007 statement that six development wells would be drilled in Gurame field starting second half of 2007. GFI also has 22.5 percent interest in the block.

Cooper also plans to drill the first exploration well Kurnia-1 in South Madura PSC onshore East Java first of July this year and might be move to drill second well early next year, depending on seismic acquisition and interpretation.

Cooper is the operator of South Madura PSC with 30 percent working interest. (alex)
