IDX-listed mining contractor company PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk through its subsidiary PT BUMA had allocated US$300 million for capital expenditures in 2012.
Delta Dunia Makmur Director Rani Sofjan said about 95 percent of the budgeted capex had been used to purchase heavy equipment in the first quarter.
"We spent most of capex in first quarter to support our plan to ramp up production in the second quarter and the rest of this year," she said.
The company expects to increase the overburden removal by up to 15 percent in 2012 compared to 2011 realization.
The coal production is expected to grow by 5 percent this year.
