IDX-listed mining services company PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk said that coal production last year totaled 32 million tons, while overburden removal volume reached 270 million bcm, in line with the targets set earlier in the year.

Corporate Secretary Errinto Pardede told Petromindo.com Wednesday that good management and improving performance of heavy equipment at the mines supported the production achievement.

He said that the company expects performance to further improve this year on new contracts and efficiency measures.

?Efficiency through the reduction of stripping ratio, higher productivity, and maintaining cash flow will be our main points in 2016. With additional new clients, our productivity in 2016 should increase from 2015,? Errinto explained.

According to company data, the highest production level reached by Delta Dunia in 2015 was made in August at 3.3 million tons, with overburden removal volume of 26.6 million bcm. In other months, production averaged at 2.5-3 million tons, while overburden removal volume averaged 17.6-24.6 million bcm.

Through subsidiary PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA), the company managed to win two additional clients in 2015 and extended the contract with coal mining firm PT Adaro Indonesia through 2019.

Higher production in 2016 will be supported with production at the mines of two clients PT Sungai Danau Jaya and PT Tadjahan Antang Mineral in Kalimantan.
