Delta Dunia reports $5m net loss

IDX-listed PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk, which is engaged in coal mining and mining services, said Thursday that is suffered a net loss of US$5 million in the nine-month period of this year due to foreign exchange losses of $20 million, much of which is unrealized losses.
The company said in a statement that operating profit in the first nine months of this year increased slightly to US$64 million compared to $60 million in the same period of last year.
The company said that EBITDA during the nine-month period stood at $139 million, almost the same as $140 million in the corresponding period of last year, while EBITDA margins slightly increased to 33.9 percent from 31.9 percent.
Delta said that the company aims to accelerate debt repayment this year worth about $10 million. The company?s net debt level currently stands at $557 million, with free cash flow of $116 million.
Elsewhere, Delta said that overburden removal volume as per end September of this year reached 201.5 million bank cubic meters, or a 5.1 percent decline from the corresponding period of last year.
Coal production increased 6.6 percent to 24.8 million tons.
