IDX-listed coal mining services company PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk said that coal production in April reached 2.4 million tons, while overburden removal volume at 22.3 million bcm.

Compared to March performance, coal production in April slightly increased, but was still lower compared to January and February, which respectively stood at 2.8 million tons and 2.9 million tons.

Errinto Pardede, Corporate Secretary of Delta, said that operations during the first four months of this year had been in accordance with the company?s target, supported by availability and reliability of equipment at the mine sites.

Delta Dunia has set coal production target of 30-31 million tons this year, while overburden removal volume at 270 million bcm.

Through its subsidiary PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama, Delta Dunia holds mining services contracts with coal miners PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Berau Coal, PT Bayan Resources and PT Kideco Jaya Agung, whose mines are all located in Kalimantan.
