Delta Dunia swings to profit in first 9-month

IDX-listed coal mining services firm PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk booked a net profit of US$25 million in the first nine months period of this year compared to a net loss of $4 million in the corresponding period of last year.
This was said by Delta Dunia Independent Director Errinto Pardede to Petromindo.com on Tuesday, but did not elaborate.
Delta Dunia has set a coal production target of 31 million tons for this year. Over burden removal target has been set at 270 million bcm. The company plans to spend between $60 million and $80 million for capital expenditure this year, of which $34 million has been realized mostly allocated for heavy equipment, Errinto said.
Through subsidiary PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA), Delta Dunia has coal mining services contracts with coal firms PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Berau Coal, PT Bayan Resources and PT Kideco Jaya Agung, with mines all located in Kalimantan.
