Delta Makmur to spend $175 million for heavy equipment

PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk will increase its capital expenditure this year from US$80 million to $175 million to buy new 175 heavy equipment vehicles such as tractors, excavators and large trucks to support the company?s growing mining activities.

Delta Dunia?s president director Hagianto Komala said that the purchase would increase the company?s heavy equipment fleet to 227 units. The company, which operates as a mining contractor, has 52 units of heavy equipment at present.

?This year?s investment increases significantly from only between US$70 juta-US$80 million last year. The larger part of the funds will be used to buy new heavy equipment,? he said.

Of the total funds needed for the purchase of new heavy equipment vehicles, about $35 million or about 20 percent will come from the company?s internal cash,? he said.(*)
