Delta Prima seeks to have own mine

PT Delta Prima Steel (Delta Prima) is seeking to have own iron ore mine to help ensure raw material supply for its smelter.
Vice President of Delta Prima Haykel Hubies said to Petromindo.com Tuesday that its smelter in Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, has stopped operation since the second quarter of 2014 due to the lack of ores supply.
He said that to help resolve the problem, the company is seeking to get an IUP mining business permit.
He said that many local miners could not carry out mining operation professionally.
