Despite looming bad weather SKK Migas hopeful drilling programs this year can be completed

Upstream authority SKK Migas is pushing oil and gas contractors operating in the country to complete the remaining drilling programs and seismic survey activities this year, hoping that the current rainy season would not create a serious obstacle.
Head of Survey and Drilling Division at SKK Migas Arief Fanzuri told Petromindo.com Thursday that the remaining drilling programs for this year cover 69 exploration wells and 277 development wells, plus seismic survey activities in seven locations.
?There are still seven seismic activities which have yet to be completed including one at WMO, two at Medco SCS, one at PHE ONWJ, one at ENI Gana1, one at ENI Muara Bakau, and one in Seleraya Blora,? he said.
Arief said that despite the current rainy season, which may cause flooding, as of end of October, drilling and survey activities remain normal. He acknowledged, however, that oil and gas contractors have complained of difficulties in obtaining the necessary rigs.
Arief also revealed to Petromindo.com Wednesday the seismic survey activities and drilling programs for November as follows.
Seismic survey activities include 110 km 2D seismic by Medco SCS, 547 sq km 3D seismic by Medco SCS, and 3D seismic by PHE WMO.
Drilling programs of exploration wells include 14 conventional wells and 19 CBM wells, which are Lundin Baronang (1 well), Pearl Oil Tachylyte-Kerapu (1 well), Pasir Petroleum (1 well), Radiant Bukit Barisan (1 well), Tiara Bumi Petroleum (1 well), PetroChina Jabung (1 well), Husky Madura (1 well), Inpex Masela (1 well), JOB Pertamina Ogan Komering (1 well), PHE ONWJ (2 wells), BP Indonesia (1 well), and 19 CBM wells.
Meanwhile, 111 drilling of conventional development wells are scheduled to be carried out by:

- Pertamina EP (8 wells)
- VICO (5 wells)
- CICO (3 wells)
- ConocoPhillips Blok B (2 wells)
- TAC Pertamina EP (2 wells)
- Energy Equity (1 well)

- JOB Pertamina Talisman (1 well)
- Mondour (1 well)
- PetroChina Jabung (1 well)
- Medco Rimau (1 well)
- Seleraya (1 well)
- PHE WMO (1 well).
