Dewata aims to start coking coal production next year

Coal mining company PT Darma Putera Wahana Pratama (Dewata), through its subsidiary PT Naan Bara Abadi aims to start production at its coking coal project in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan Province next year.

Paulus W. Broto, President Director of Dewata told Petromindo.com Thursday that currently the coking coal project is in the process of pre-production phase.

?This year we are making preparation before stepping to production phase, including to fulfill the license from exploration mining license to exploitation mining license, and we expect by 2018 we are able commence production,? he said, adding that the company has planned maiden production rate of 50,000 tons per month.

Paulus revealed that based on the exploration results, the 24,000 hectares concession holds around 30 million tons of resources of coking coal and 5 million tons of reserves.
