Dewata allocates up to $20m for coking coal project

Coal mining company PT Darma Putera Wahana Pratama (Dewata), is budgeting US$15 million to US$ 20 million of investment for its coking coal project in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan Province, this year.

The company, through its subsidiary PT Naan Bara Abadi aims to start production at its coking coal project soon.

Paulus W. Broto, President Director of Dewata told Petromindo.com recently that the project is still at the pre-production phase. "We are budgeting around $15 million to $20 million for the project this year and now we are now making preparations before starting production," he said, adding that the company has set a target to produce around 50,000 tons per month in the initial phase of production.

The company has 24,000 hectares of concession which holds around 30 million tons of resources of coking coal and 5 million tons of reserves.
